I’m looking for parents in Australia to help participate in my research project. This research could help identify possible areas to direct early intervention efforts for families raising Autistic children. As a parent myself I know first hand how stressful and isolating it can be. I also know how rewarding and amazing it is too. At the end of the day, once all the therapists and support workers go home, it’s you, your children, and the relationship you build with your children. I want to find out what attributes parents can draw when it is just them and their children. I want to see how we can help improve outcomes for children by helping parents rather than trying to change children.

If you are curious and want to help please participate. Every adult in Australia raising children is invited to participate. We need Mums and Dads, Step and Adoptive Parents, Grandparent and Kin Carers, Foster Carers – everyone and I mean everyone. You don’t even have to have a child with Autism, in fact it helps to be able to see if and how things are different. So please spread the word, add your voice.
